Truthful Tuesday
Without going into detail, I received some emotionally painful news today, and it made me once again question whether I have the right to be happy. It took a lot of therapy to convince me that I was allowed to be happy, and to make changes in my life that eventually led me to the happiness I have now.
But what about the people who were affected by my changes?
All I can do is hope that some day...
I don’t understand something. My life is pretty much perfect now. I have a very loving, wonderful woman who is marrying me soon, with kids who like me and tolerate me, and very dear friends who care for me deeply. I have a job that allows me complete flexibility and I no longer have to deal with the office politics. I’m healthy. I’m in a part of the country that makes me smile...

I like this one. Another idea we floated was to drop an offhand comment about trying for a baby. Since he told Mindy that he was never going to get married again after they divorced, and told her he didn’t want anymore kids...

So Mindy and I announced our engagement about 3 weeks ago. Within a week, her ex proposes to his girlfriend. He has constantly done his best to upstage every event in our lives. He found out she had a boyfriend, so he got a girlfriend. He found out I was moving in when I moved here in December, so he moved his girlfriend in three weeks before.

Still discovering the joys of life
This weekend, though incredibly busy, was one of the best weekends of my life.
It was the first time Mindy and I have flown together, and it was to New York City!
We roomed with ficklechick and wickedpissahyall. Renee is an old friend in Internet terms, and it was wonderful to finally meet face to face. Tracey is a newer friend but is now a friend for life. These two women were and are now...
Not so STM for Stacey and Erin
You two need to come to New York with us at some point after the wedding. We know where to stay, and thanks to Meyechael, we know lots of great places to visit and eat.

I'm a bit pissed
As we were approaching LaGuardia today, the plane lost pressure too quickly and our ears couldn’t adjust. Thanks to that, I am now mostly deaf in my right ear and hearing at about 40% in my left.
I am sitting at the table with six beautiful women, and I can’t hear most of what they are saying. However, they are all major hotties, and they aren’t really talking to me much...

No matter where we live, we all have a version of that weather truth. I’ve lived in New Mexico, Ohio, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Alabama, and now Utah, and it was a fair statement in each location.
